The MHV-H 13800 insulation monitor is designed to provide the safe monitoring of electrical insulation integrity in medium voltage motors to 13.8kV
IRB 13800 (13.8kV unit) is certified by CSA and UL CSA - witnessed tests confirmed that Intermediate Resistor Block meets the dielectric, impulse and corona extinction requirements of CSA C22.2 No. 31 - M 89 Switchgear Assemblies and ANSI C37.20.2 Metal-Clad Switchgear. |
Maximum line voltage 13.8kV with Intermediate Resistor
Block (IRB 13800) on the left, and 7.2kV with IRB 7200 on the right.
Alarm range up to 100 Megohm. The configuration of the IRB provides safe operation for personnel even in emergency situation such as phase loss (current limited by the high impedance to a maximum of 1.4 milliamperes, i.e. 28% of the mandated GFCI trip level). Test voltage 400V DC, current limited for personnel safety. Built in vacuum contactor rated, surge capacitor discharge delay, remote alarm and reset features. Construction of both monitor and IRB provides easy, fast and reliable mounting. |
